Excellent movie＃1「オーケストラ！」

ロシアは、チャイコフスキー、ラフマニノフ、ストラヴィンスキーなど、偉大な音楽家を輩出した芸術大国。ウクライナも、ピアニストのホロヴィッツ、リヒテル、ギレリス、ヴァイオリニストでは、オイストラフ、ミルスタインなど、音楽に造詣が深い。ところが、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻により、ロシア出身の音楽家は、今、西側諸国で、活動できなくなっている。プーチンと親しいワレリー・ゲルギエフ（ミュンヘン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団）は、首席指揮者を解任された。ロシアの芸術家は、世界に活動の場を築いてきた。しかし、今、戦争のせいで排除されている。映画「オーケストラ！」は、古い映画であるが、未来に起こりうるストーリーでもある。

舞台は、ブレジネフが書記長であった旧ソ連。共産主義政権下、国家はユダヤ人排斥政策を強行、多くの命が奪われた時代であった。映画の主人公は、ロシア人の中年男アンドレイ。アンドレイは、ボリショイ交響楽団の首席指揮者として名声の絶頂にあったが、追放対象のユダヤ系楽団員をかばい、指揮者の座を追われ、30年間、ボリショイ劇場の掃除夫として、満たされない日常を送っていた。ところが、ある日、アンドレイが、支配人の部屋を掃除していた時、偶然にも、パリの劇場からの演奏依頼のファックスを目にし、人生は一変する。

そう、映画「オーケストラ！」は、元天才指揮者で今掃除夫の主人公が、共に解雇された元楽団員を集め、偽オーケストラを結成し公演を成功させる、奇跡の物語。

元楽団員の職業は、運転手、蚤の市業者、博物館監視員、ポルノ映画音響、引っ越し屋･･･。多くは、生計をたてるのがやっとで、燕尾服、靴はもとより、楽器さえ手放していたが、出演を躊躇する者はだれもいない。

パスポートは偽造。パリでは劇場スタッフにギャラの前金、酒、煙草を要求。リハーサルそっちのけで、パリ街頭でキャビアを売ったり、通訳のアルバイトをしたり、楽団員達の型破りの珍道中が、コミカルに描かれている。

一方、アンドレイが、公演で指名したソリストは、美貌のヴァイオリニスト、アンヌ。アンヌは孤児で、マネージャーのギレーヌに育てられ、本当の両親、ギレーヌと楽団との因縁については何も知らない。

そんなこんなで、寄せ集め楽団員は、調達したばかりの楽器と衣装を纏い、ぶっつけ本番30年ぶりの大舞台へ。

演目は、チャイコフスキーヴァイオリン協奏曲ニ長調作品35。出だしの聞くに堪えない不協和音に、劇場支配人は困り顔。しかし、それも束の間、アンヌのカデンツァ風の流麗なソロが始まると、楽団員達の演奏は魔法にかかったように様変わり。究極のハーモニーが劇場中に響き渡り、入魂の最高潮へ…。

演奏をバックに、アンドレイの回顧により、30年前、楽団およびアンヌの両親に突然降りかかった悲劇、アンヌが知らなかった両親と出生の秘密が明らかになる。

悲愴なストーリーに相俟って、チャイコフスキーの歓喜と悲哀の旋律が、わきあがる情感を奮い立たせ、スクリーンの前のあなたは、自然と目頭が熱くなるであろう。

この作品のテーマは、理不尽な時代の渦に紺弄され、どん底に突き落とされた人達の逆転劇であり、再起に向けて挑む人達に向けてのエールである。

世界には、侵略、戦争、紛争、不況、震災、原発等、相次ぐ試練に傷つき、立ち上がれずに苦しんでいる人達がたくさんいる。どん底まで追い詰められると、あきらめの気持ちが強くなり、再び、立ち上がるのは本当に難しい。しかし、どんなに辛い状況であってもあきらめず希望を持つこと、個人の尊厳を失わず、勇気を出して立ち上がることの大切さ、素晴らしさをこの作品は教えてくれる。

Is an old movie, but it is also a story that can happen in the future.

The stage is the former Soviet Union, where Brezhnev was the general secretary. Under the communist government, the nation enforced a policy of excluding Jews, and many lives were lost. The main character of the movie is Andrey, a middle-aged Russian man. Andrey was at the height of his fame as the chief conductor of the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra, but he was ousted from the position of conductor by protecting the Jewish orchestra members to be exiled, and for 30 years, he was not satisfied as a cleaner of the Bolshoi Theater. Was being sent. However, one day, when Andrey was cleaning the manager's room, he happened to see a fax of a performance request from a theater in Paris, and his life changed completely.

Former orchestra members are drivers, flea marketers, museum guards, pornographic film sounders, movers ... Most of them barely made a living and gave up their tailcoats, shoes, and even musical instruments, but no one hesitated to appear.

The passport is forged. In Paris, the theater staff is requested to pay the guarantee, liquor, and cigarettes. Aside from the rehearsal, selling caviar on the streets of Paris, working part-time as an interpreter, and the unconventional journey of the orchestra members are comically depicted.

On the other hand, the soloist nominated by Andrey at the performance is Anne, a beautiful violinist. Anne is an orphan, raised by her manager Guillene, and knows nothing about the connection between her true her parents, Guillene, and her orchestra.

In such a situation, the members of the orchestra put on the instruments and costumes they had just procured, and went to the big stage for the first time in 30 years.

The program is Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D major, Op.35. The theater manager is in trouble because of the dissonance that can't be heard at the beginning. However, for a short while, when Anne's cadenza-style solo began, the performances of the orchestra members changed like magic. The ultimate harmony echoes throughout the theater, to the climax of the soul.

With the performance in the background, Andrey's retrospective reveals the tragedy that suddenly struck the orchestra and Anne's parents 30 years ago, the secrets of her parents and her birth that Anne did not know.

Coupled with a tragic story, Tchaikovsky's melody of joy and sorrow will inspire a rising emotion, and you in front of the screen will naturally heat up your eyes.

The theme of this work is a reversal drama of those who were tossed by the vortex of an unreasonable era and pushed to the bottom, and an ale for those who challenge for a comeback.

There are many people in the world who are suffering from a series of trials such as aggression, war, conflict, recession, earthquake, and nuclear power plant. However, this work teaches us the importance and splendor of having hope without giving up, no matter how difficult the situation, and standing up with courage without losing the dignity of the individual.
