　主役のフランチェスカは、羊さんが寝ちゃったみたいな名前の女優（メリル・ストリープ）が演じているのね。
相手役のロバートは、元米国大統領みたいな名前の男優（クリント・イーストウッド）で、主演、監督・制作の3足の草鞋なの。
　マリリンがこの映画を初めて観た時には、おっさんとおばはんがいい年こいてなに燃えあがっちゃってんの、年とるっていやよねって思ったものだけれ/ど、マリリンもいい年になっちゃったかしら。ロバートを求めてやまないフランチェスカの気持ちがよくわかるわ。
　田舎の垢ぬけないおばはんが、身なりに気を使うようになり、オシャレな感じに変身していくのよ。胸元が広くあいたサマードレスや深紅のドレスを着て、モダンな髪型に変え、艶っぽくなり、若さも取り戻していくのね。
結局の所、フランチェスカは、張り裂けそうな恋心をぐっとこらえ、日常の生活に戻り、悶々とした気持ちを抱えて、生きていくのよね。
うわあ～。どう考えても痛すぎるわ。

Francesca, the protagonist, is played by an actress (Meryl Streep) whose name seems to be that the sheep fell asleep.
The opponent, Robert, is an actor (Clint Eastwood) with a name like the former President of the United States, and is a three-legged straw shoe starring, directing, and producing.
When Marilyn first saw this movie, she thought that middle-aged men and women were good old and burned up, but Marilyn was also a good year. I wonder if it has become. I can understand Francesca's feelings for Robert.
A middle-aged woman in the countryside begins to take care of her appearance and transforms into a fashionable feeling. Wearing a summer dress or crimson dress with a wide chest, changing to her modern hairstyle, she becomes glossy and regains her youth.
After all, Francesca will endure her tearing love, return to her daily life, and live in agony.
