【movie12 】リバー・ランズ・スルー・イット　A River Runs Through It

モンタナで育った兄ノーマン（クレイグ・シェイファー）と弟ポール（ブラッド・ピット）は牧師の息子。小さい頃からお父さん（トム・スケリット）とよく釣りにいったのね。やがて、ノーマンは大学の講師になり、一目惚れのジェシー（エミリー・ロイド）と結婚。 ポールは、新聞記者になったの。ポールは釣りにかけては天才、ブラピが演じているからかもしれないけど、お魚を釣りあげているポールは輝いていてとっても素敵。でも、そういう天才的な人って短命なのよね。ポールはポーカーにのめり込みすぎて、イカサマがばれ、右手を潰され、死んでしまうの。賭け事って怖いわよね。監督のロバート・レッドフォードは、モンタナが好きなのかな。彼の作品には、「モンタナの風に抱かれて」もあるわ。マリリンもモンタナの大自然の中で、思いっきり、遠吠えしてみたいわ。

Brother Norman (Craig Sheffer) and younger brother Paul (Brad Pitt), who grew up in Montana, are the sons of a minister. He used to go fishing with his dad (Tom Skerritt) since he was little. Eventually, Norman became a university lecturer and married Jesse (Emily Lloyd), who fell in love at first sight. Paul became a newspaper reporter. It may be because Paul is a genius when it comes to fishing, and Brad Pitt plays it, but Paul who is fishing is shining and very nice. But such a genius is short-lived, isn't it? Paul gets so absorbed in poker that he gets caught up in poker, crushes his right hand and dies. He's scared of gambling, isn't he? I wonder if director Robert Redford likes Montana. His work also includes "Holding in the Wind of Montana". Marilyn also wants to howl in the wilderness of Montana.
